Aqua Expeditions has recently revealed its plans to expand its luxury expedition cruise offerings to the Seychelles and Zanzibar, with the launch scheduled for December 2025. This significant expansion will feature the addition of a new ship to the company's fleet, bringing the total to six vessels.
Expressing his enthusiasm for venturing into East Africa, founder and CEO Francesco Galli Zugaro shared, “It has always been a dream of mine to explore this part of the world on a luxury expedition ship.”
While the details about the new ship are yet to be disclosed, Aqua Expeditions has confirmed that it will maintain its signature 1-to-1 crew-to-guest ratio and continue offering small-group excursions led by expert guides.
The company aims to offer diverse itineraries, including five- and nine-night cruises in the Seychelles that can also be combined for a 14-night adventure. Furthermore, 10- and 11-night sailings to both the Seychelles and the Zanzibar archipelago will be available for guests to enjoy.
Travelers will be able to explore renowned biodiversity hotspots such as Aldabra, Cosmoledo, Astove, Furquhar Atol, Kilwa Kisiwani, and Pemba. Additionally, expeditions will venture to the African Banks, the uninhabited northernmost islands in the Seychelles archipelago.
