The SEA CLOUDS still welcome in the heart of Venice






Our Sea Cloud ships will once again steer a course for the historic center of Venice this year. Unlike large international cruise ships, the windjammers from Sea Cloud Cruises are still permitted to dock in the heart of the lagoon city. In 2021, the Italian government refused access to the vast majority of cruise liners. The only exceptions are ships like our traditional Sea Cloud Cruises tall ships, which match the backdrop of the medieval trading town.

Luxury Kimberley charter vessel, Diversity II, strikes reef on delivery voyage

The 12-passenger charter vessel, MV Diversity II, en route to Broome to commence its March 2023 dry season tours, has become stuck on a reef off Greens Island within the Jurien Bay Marine Park. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority is conducting an investigation into the cause of the grounding, and Diversity Charters, the boat's operator, is working to minimize disruption to their services. This incident adds to the challenges faced by the Kimberley tourism industry, which has been reeling from various disruptions since 2020.

Seabourn sells Seabourn Odyssey to MOL Group for delivery in September 2024

Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury cruising and expedition travel announced the sale of Seabourn Odyssey to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL). Following the sale, Seabourn will continue to operate all published voyages through August 22, 2024, under a charter arrangement. Seabourn Odyssey will be delivered to MOL after the charter agreement.

Scenic Eclipse II Sea Trials successful

Scenic’s new ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II has successfully completed its sea trials and has now returned to the 3. Maj shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia, for its final fit out in advance of its inaugural sailing on 13 April 2023. The much-anticipated 114-suite yacht was put through its paces over two weekend sessions during February in the northern Adriatic between Croatia and Italy.
