Heritage Expeditions resumes popular Sea Kayaking options

#expeditioncruising .

Pioneering small ship expedition cruise company Heritage Expeditions is delighted to announce the return of its popular sea kayaking programme on select Subantarctic, Indonesia and South Pacific voyages.

The reinstatement of the popular paddling options on Galapagos of the Southern Ocean, Forgotten Islands of the South Pacific, Indonesian Explorer and Discover the Secrets of Melanesia coincide with the arrival of Heritage Expeditions' luxurious new 140-guest flagship Heritage Adventurer and sees the dynamic reteaming of Heritage Expeditions with the sea kayaking legends at Southern Sea Ventures.

Commercial Director and Expedition Leader Aaron Russ said the team at Heritage Expeditions was excited to be bringing sea kayaking back following strong guest interest.

“We’re delighted to be bringing back our sea kayaking option, it’s something our guests have been asking for and, with the arrival of Heritage Adventurer, can deliver exceptional, on-water wilderness experiences in collaboration with the expert guides at Southern Sea Ventures,” he said.

“Heritage Adventurer provides the perfect base camp from which to launch these incredible excursions and landings, and allows guests the opportunity to experience incomparable wilderness exploration and wildlife and cultural encounters.”

With groups limited to just 10 and 12 guests, lucky participants have the option to enjoy intimate coastal explorations with expert guides in areas often inaccessible to the Zodiacs.

Kayaking around the Subantarctic Islands offers a wide array of habitats and sea kayaking opportunities from sandy bays and sea caves to rugged, wildlife filled cliffs and backdrops of extraordinary floral displays. These wild and remote islands are also perfect sanctuaries for nesting seabirds, fish and inquisitive marine mammals.

While kayakers in Indonesia and the South Pacific will be rewarded with tranquil, tropical settings and beaches, sea caves and reef explorations, and be a source of fascination to the locals who often paddle their dug-out canoes out to join them, and invite them back to their villages.
