Defunct Asian cruise line, Crystal, part of the Genting Group and its collapse, has seen its former vessels dispersed to rival fleets including the much-anticipated Crystal Endeavor.
It has been reported in multiple industry sources that luxury line Silversea Cruises has acquired Crystal Endeavor, Crystal Cruises’ first expedition ship launched in 2021.
Silversea Cruises filed to trademark the name Silver Endeavor, in order to keep the original connection with the 2021 launch moniker.
Earlier in 2022, Roberto Martinoli, Silversea’s president and CEO hinted at a renewed building program for expedition vessels, saying the company was “one hundred percent” considering new expedition ships and that “after sustainability, it’s one of our first priorities.”

The ultra luxurious Crystal Endeavor is currently moored in Gibraltar, and may sail as soon as later this year following a Silversea rebrand in time for the 2022-2023 Antarctica season.
