The Great Lakes might be covered in ice right now, but come July there will be a brand new cruise ship sailing all five of them.
The Great Lakes Cruise Company recently announced that their smaller cruise liner, the Saint Laurent, will travel from Montreal to Chicago through the Great Lakes. The first voyage is scheduled to depart from Montreal July 5 and arrive in Chicago July 14.
The ship will stop in multiple places along the Great Lakes, including Detroit and Sault Ste. Marie.
The 105-room ship boasts many of the same luxuries found on an ocean cruise ship, including dining halls, a bar, a salon and multiple decks.
Prices for the cruise start at $4,199 per person. Since the cruise will travel from Montreal down the St. Lawrence Seaway, around Michigan to Chicago, passports are required, according to the company website.
The cruise will offer afternoon tea, cocktail hour, live entertainment, cooking classes, seated breakfast, lunch and multi-course dinners.
The ship will travel back from Chicago to Montreal July 14-23 on a second voyage.
Full information about the Saint Laurent cruise, including booking information and further details about the ship can be found on the website.
