Tall Ship Journey aboard Lord Nelson

Inline images 1

Australians rarely get the opportunity to recreate the journeys of early sailing pioneers who followed in the wake of Captain James Cook to these shore.

Here is that chance as the 55-metre tall ship The Lord Nelson is sailing around the world arriving in Australian waters in August 2013.

Join a tall ship voyage from Fremantle to Perth to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Auckland, Wellington and Nelson on an all-inclusive sailing holiday crossing the Great Australian Bight, Bass Strait, the Tasman Sea, Bay of Islands and Cook Strait.

Imagine being at the wheel of a tall ship, under the night sky, your fellow crew keeping look-out around you, others sleeping below. Imagine the ship is surging over the waves, only the wind in the sails pushing you along. Imagine helping to set the sails, navigating by the sun and stars, crossing an ocean.

Change your life forever by exploring our world from the deck of a tall ship and discover what you can do and what others can do, regardless of age or profession, experience or ability.

No-one is just a passenger everyone is encouraged to be 'voyage crew' supported by a professional sailing team. Life on board is about joining in, getting involved regardless of your physical ability.
There is no upper age restriction and no previous sailing or tall ship experience necessary.

Voyages start from AU$1770 for eight days from Adelaide to Melbourne departing on 17th August 2013.

AU$4390 for the 20 days from Sydney to Auckland (which includes participation in a cross Tasman Tall Ship Race with other ships from Europe) departing 8th October 2013.
