APT adds Variety Voyager to its luxury small ship cruising

APT has released a preview brochure for luxury small ship cruising of Europe, Scandinavia, Greece, The Black Sea and Egypt/Jordan next year.

The 57-suite Island Sky and the 36-cabin Variety Voyager are the vessels operating the cruises.

Launch of APT's Luxury Small Ship preview brochure follows the Australian company's entry to small ship expedition cruising late last year, based on the 55-suite Caledonian Sky.

These new classes of cruising for APT are the result of APT investing in the Noble Caledonian cruise company mid last year.

The brochure carries a $2000 per couple air credit deal for early bookings (until sold out).

APT General Manager Marketing, Debra Fox said the use of these small ships allowed APT to present iconic ocean cruise destinations to its discerning traveller market which had supported APT's river cruising experience in Europe and Asia.

"The ships we're using here are also super stylish, offering a private yacht experience," she said.

Prices include cabin, full-board service, excursions, transfers, port charges and tipping.

The brochure carries three cruises on the Island Sky and six on the Variety Voyager. There is one departure scheduled for each cruise, across the June 28 to October 25 period, with durations ranging from 10 to 15 days.

The 14-day Norwegian Fjords, for example, departs August 5, 2014, cruising from Tromso to Amsterdam. It is priced from $8795 per person twin share/$12,795 solo. This is on Island Sky which was refurbished in 2010.

The Variety Voyager was launched last year. One of its cruises is the 11-day Bella Italia, from Rome to Venice, departing June 28, 2014. It is priced from $6995/$9895.
