Cruceros Australis is offering four whale-themed cruises in Patagonia in early 2013 to mark the 30th anniversary of the vote to end whaling. The four-night expedition cruises include programs that incorporate the observation of humpback whales in the Strait of Magellan. The Stella Australis will host the first departure on Jan. 12.
The Via Australis will operate the Feb. 4, Feb. 20 and March 8 departures. The trip includes shore excursions, onboard entertainment, all meals, an open bar and Chilean and Argentinean wines. Rates start at $1,989 for these departures.
