Celebrating 100 years of Australian Antarctic Exploration!
Join Aurora Expeditions and the University of Adelaide for an evening of Antarctic exploration, as we get ready to celebrate the centenary of Sir Douglas Mawson's 1911 Australasian Antarctic Expedition.
Learn more about Antarctica and the torturous conditions our explorers battled as they risked their lives in the name of science and discovery.
Listen to environmental scientist, author and adventurer, Tim Jarvis, relive his account of retracing Mawson's footsteps of his famous survival journey of 1912. University of Adelaide fellows, Kate Selway and David Kelsey, will share their passion for Antarctica's geology, discussing current research projects and findings.
